Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of all services provided by Tension Hosting. By purchasing or using any service from Tension Hosting, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

Tension Hosting reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically.

Acceptable Use

You may use Tension Hosting services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate service termination without a refund:

• Running, distributing, or facilitating distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or any form of network abuse.
• Hosting, distributing, or linking to malware, hacking tools, exploits, or cracked software.
• Using server resources to mine cryptocurrency in any form.
• Attempting to access, modify, or interfere with another client's server or data.
• Sending unsolicited communications (spam) of any kind.
• Using server resources to host or distribute content that is illegal under the laws of the United Kingdom or the United States, including but not limited to content that exploits or harms minors.
• Impersonating Tension Hosting staff or falsely claiming any affiliation with Tension Hosting.
• Circumventing resource limits, accessing systems outside your allocated environment, or attempting to gain elevated access to the underlying host node.

Tension Hosting reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate services without notice where a violation is confirmed or credibly suspected.

Refunds

New clients are eligible for a refund on their first order within 24 hours of server creation, provided the following conditions are met:

• The service is billed on a monthly cycle. Services billed quarterly or annually are not eligible for a refund under this policy.
• The request is submitted via a support ticket at billing.tensionhost.com/tickets within the 24-hour window, including a clear reason for the request.
• The account has not previously received a refund from Tension Hosting.
• The request is not associated with a chargeback, payment dispute, or misconduct as defined in these Terms.

Refunds are not automatic and require review by a team member. All approved refunds are issued as account credit by default. Refunds to the original payment method are at the sole discretion of Tension Hosting staff and are not guaranteed. Tension Hosting reserves the right to decline a refund request where abuse of the policy is suspected.

Account Credit

Account credit can be added to your billing account and used toward the purchase of Tension Hosting services. The following conditions apply to all account credit:

• Account credit is non-refundable under any circumstances. Credit deposits cannot be returned as cash, transferred to another account, or redeemed for any payment outside of Tension Hosting services.
• Credit has no expiry date, but it is tied to your account and is forfeited if your account is terminated for a Terms violation.
• Tension Hosting is not responsible for credit used as a result of unauthorised account access. It is your responsibility to keep your account credentials secure.
• Promotional or gifted credit may be subject to additional restrictions communicated at the time it is issued.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a billing concern, you must contact our support team at billing.tensionhost.com/tickets before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving genuine billing issues promptly.

If a chargeback or dispute is filed without prior contact, or is found to be unjustified, the following will apply:

• All services on the account will be suspended immediately pending investigation.
• A chargeback processing fee may be applied to recover costs incurred from the dispute.
• Future orders from the account holder may be blocked at our discretion.
• Services will not be restored until the matter is resolved and any outstanding balance, including fees, is settled in full.
• In cases of fraudulent or repeated unjustified disputes, Tension Hosting reserves the right to pursue recovery through legal channels.

Tension Hosting uses FraudRecord to screen new orders for previously reported fraudulent activity. Clients who violate these Terms may be reported to FraudRecord using one-way hashed identifiers.

Misconduct

Tension Hosting staff are entitled to work without being subjected to rude, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour. Any client who engages in such behaviour toward staff, via any communication channel, may have their services terminated immediately without a refund and without further notice. This includes behaviour within our Discord server.

Cancellations

To cancel a service, you must submit a cancellation request through the billing area at billing.tensionhost.com before the next renewal date. Cancellations are not accepted via Discord, live chat, or any channel other than the billing system. Failure to cancel in advance of a renewal does not entitle you to a refund of that renewal charge.

Service Suspension and Termination

Services that are suspended due to non-payment will be terminated and all associated data permanently deleted 7 days after the renewal invoice becomes overdue. Tension Hosting is not responsible for data loss resulting from termination following non-payment.

In cases of Terms violations, services may be terminated immediately without the 7-day grace period and without a refund. Tension Hosting is not obligated to retain or return any data from a terminated account.

Exploitation and Resource Abuse

Your service is allocated specific resources as defined by your plan. You are not permitted to exceed those limits, attempt to access resources outside your allocated environment, or exploit any feature of the panel or underlying infrastructure in a manner not intended by Tension Hosting. Accounts found to be abusing resources may be suspended without notice, and repeated offences will result in permanent termination.

Affiliate Program

Participation in the Tension Hosting affiliate program is subject to the following conditions:

• Tension Hosting reserves the right to approve, reject, or revoke any affiliate partnership at any time, with or without notice.
• Affiliate commissions are not guaranteed. All commissions are subject to verification and may be withheld, adjusted, or cancelled if suspicious activity is detected, conversions are found to be fraudulent or self-referred, or the affiliate is found to have violated these Terms.
• Affiliates must not misuse Tension Hosting branding, make false claims about our services, or engage in any marketing practice that could damage our reputation.
• Tension Hosting may modify commission rates, payout thresholds, or program terms at any time. Affiliates will be notified of material changes where reasonably practicable.
• Affiliates agree to indemnify Tension Hosting against any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from their marketing activities.

Liability

Tension Hosting provides services on an "as available" basis and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Tension Hosting is not liable for any loss of data, loss of revenue, or consequential damages arising from service interruptions, outages, or data loss, regardless of cause.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups. While Tension Hosting may offer backup tools or features, these are provided as a convenience and are not a substitute for your own backup practices.
• Tension Hosting's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the affected service in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Support for all Tension Hosting services must be requested through one of the following official channels:

Tension Hosting does not guarantee response times but aims to respond to all tickets within a reasonable timeframe. Support is provided at our discretion and may be refused to accounts with outstanding balances or active Terms violations.

Privacy and Data

Your use of Tension Hosting services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and available at tensionhost.com/privacy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in that policy.

Legal Contact and Law Enforcement

Tension Hosting will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities where required by law or where we have a good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to investigate or address illegal activity, suspected fraud, or violations of these Terms. All communications between Tension Hosting and its clients are treated as confidential except where disclosure is required by law or authorised in advance by both parties.

Promotional Discounts

From time to time, Tension Hosting may offer promotional discounts. Unless stated otherwise in the specific promotion, the following general conditions apply to all promotional pricing:

• Discounts apply only to new server orders unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Promotional pricing applies to the first billing period only. Standard pricing resumes automatically at the next renewal.
• Downgrades to a discounted plan after a promotion has ended are not permitted.
• Tension Hosting reserves the right to end or modify any promotion before its stated end date.

Available from 4 October 2024 to 1 November 2024. Applies to new servers only.

Tension Black Friday Discount

Available from 29 November 2024 to 1 December 2024 at 12:00 PM GMT. Applies to new servers only.

Tension Christmas Discount

Available from 22nd December 2024 to 29th December 2024. Applies to new servers only.

Tension New Year Discount

Available from 31 December 2024 to 5 January 2025 at 12:00 PM GMT. Applies to new servers only.
